The annual “Product of the Year” contest defining the most interesting and advanced technology concepts and products in the Russian photographic products has been held as usually within the “Photoforum“ exhibition.
The major objective of the Contest is to bring out and to promote the best products, technology concepts and advanced equipment in image taking, processing and printing.
Manufacturers and exclusive distributors exhibiting at “Photoforum-2007” participated in the Contest.
The independent jury involved representatives of the Russian leading photo magazines and newspapers: Digital Camera Photo & Video, Digital Photot, Mobile News, Publish, Russian Digital, Russian Mobile, T3, Stuff, Potrebitel: Photo equipment and video cameras, ProFoto, PL/Podvodnaya Lodka, Fotodelo.
Clear nominations as well as estimation standards of the products presented have been worked out for the past four years the Contest was held. Development of the photographic market and services contributed to emergence of new nominations. Such nominations as “Exclusive photo service”, “The jury’s choice”, “Consumables” have been introduced for the first time in 2007.
